Crystal Speculation
Why did I have a crystal with mysterious properties as a central theme in my new book, The Alchemist’s Lost Treasure?
Down through the ages, crystals have been an object of human fascination. And with their popularity mushrooming over the last few years it’s interesting to speculate why crystals are so alluring to so many people.
Crystals come in an infinite number of sizes, shapes and colors giving them gemstone eye appeal. But there is something else altogether that seems to capture our attention. Crystals can transmit vibrating energy. For example when you put a quartz crystal under pressure it produces a vibrating electrical charge.
Everything in the universe is energy and is vibrating. Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating and resonating at various frequencies. We are vibrating as well. In fact, our bodies are constantly processing energy as information on so many levels. For example, what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears is actually vibrating energy – frequencies that our brains are translating into color and sound. It’s easy to consider that as processors of energy, we are attracted to the energy a crystal emanates. The palms of our hands are particularly sensitive to feeling life force and depending on your sensitivity, some people can feel a crystal’s vibration in their hands. This prospect holds endless fascinating possibilities. Taking it one step further, some scientists now believe that the earth’s core is crystalline and is part of an energy system that produces the earth’s magnetic field. That’s a little mind blowing when considering the effect crystals have on life on earth.
Stay tuned for my next blog post. It is poetic speculation to the origin and history of the crystal in The Alchemist’s Lost Treasure and the background as to why everything unfolds the way it does.
